Description: They were long forgotten and it appears as though nobody has missed them. THE LAST SHOW is about a group of old circus clowns, who haven’t performed on stage for nearly twenty years. Now they want to perform a last and final show! The audience should not forget this so easily because shortly after the first clown enters the stage, an explosion of blood and guts rains over the visitor’s heads. Immediately after the shock, people are being attacked by clowns wielding killing tools. The panic is rising and people are dying. Everything that matters now, is survival.

THE LAST SHOW is a mixture including music, live action and motion design with excessive gore, stylistic grindhouse elements and horror movie stereotypes.

MOTION DESIGN

Motion Design byVera Mayrhofer

Description:
The Motion Design works as an additional layer, which makes the movie unique.
Overall there are six illustrative parts placed throughout the splatter section in order to complement and extend the live action content.
The fluent transitions between the live action and illustrative parts allows the Motion Design to appear as a natural element of the entire piece.

Realization: Photoshop, After Effects

It was designed in Illustrator and painted on canvas with acrylic and wall paint.

The illuminated sign had the same function as the stage painting.
